The consequences of scratching though are not divine!

Atopic eczema is a chronic condition that “flares” on your skin occasionally. There are many causes: it could be due to stress or allergies. Whatever is the case, it is a most uncomfortable condition to have and to see – particularly when there are unsightly tiny red bumps on your skin… calling you to pay attention to them in a most unpleasant way.

Worse yet – when it is on your face. So what to do about it? You have bought all the creams in the shops out of desperation and it still irritates.

One of the causes of dry itchy skin is lack of moisture and the solution is to apply this cream for your skin for by La Roche Posay called Lipikar Balm. It immediately soothes and breaks the vicious cycle of itching and restores comfort to your life and your skin once again.

It is made of Shea butter, niacinamide and canola and omega 3 and 6 oils to restore lipids to make the skin supple. It is also non greasy and non-sticky. It is also non-greasy and non-sticky.

If you think that your skin is not dry (and believe me you may not be a good judge of that!) It could be caused by allergies. Check your cosmetics, your soap and any other lotion that you are using. Check also your clothing. Make sure that you are using clothes that breathe. Cotton is a good idea.

Check your diet. Allergies to any seafood? Onions maybe? Check by eliminating which is the offending food by staying off it for a day or two. Then note whether your skin has stopped suffering as a result of the abstinence.

And of course drink plenty of water. We need to keep the skin hydrated. Two more simple but miraculous things you can do:

1 Stay in the sun for 20 minutes or so. The morning sun is good for you. It creates Vitamin D, which is essential for skin health.

2 Take two teaspoonfuls of virgin coconut oil (orally) and then also apply it on the skin. Coconut oil has lauric acid that has anti-viral, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. The oil has to be taken internally and applied externally for best results. (An added incentive for consuming coconut oil is that it actually increases your metabolism and helps in weight loss.) The only condition being it must be virgin coconut oil that is cold -pressed.

Other benefits of coconut oil for the skin is that it aids in removing the outer layer of dead skin cells, and so it makes the upper dermis skin healthier and smoother and capable of generating new and healthy skin cells. Over time your skin will glow.

So here’s wishing you a weekend filled with the Divine!
