Sure, we all know the importance of retinol, but how do you know you’re using the right one? There are so many retinols on the market, and they all come in different forms — serums, gels, moisturizers, and more, all at different concentrations, too. Surely not all of them are created equal?
According to dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss, finding the right retinol for you goes far beyond just getting the highest concentration. In fact, she notes that percentages can be “extremely misleading,” and shared one product she loves that’s surprisingly affordable.
“When it comes to retinol, I love this guy by L’Oreal,” she shared on a recent episode of New in the Q. “It is a pure retinol at 0.3 percent.”
Don’t be fooled by what seems like a low percentage. That 0.3 percent includes pure retinol, plus a retinol optimizer and soother. Additionally, pure retinol works faster than other retinol derivatives.
The L’Oreal serum — which is on sale for just $25 — helps reduce wrinkles while soothing and moisturizing your skin. It’s also formulated without any fragrances, parabens, or silicone. Plus, don’t forget — always lather on some SPF the morning after using a retinol.
It shows results, too: In a clinical study, over 100 percent of women noticed a reduction in wrinkles (yes, even those deep ones). Over 6,500 Amazon shoppers agree — this stuff absolutely changes their skincare game.
“This is THE BEST retinol product I’ve found hands down! It means business!” shares one five-star shopper. “I’m 52, wrinkle-free, and EXTREMELY attentive to keeping my skin youthful. After using this product for a mere one week and seeing great results already, this is one product I will most definitely keep using regularly. I have (had) one tiny forehead crease starting to form; after using this retinol for one week I already see it diminishing!”
One shopper even dubbed it the “fountain of youth.”
“Time in a bottle! This stuff is amazing!” she swore. “Wish I had taken a before and after picture. Worth every penny. Visible results in 3 days, not kidding. Turned 40 this year & frown lines were getting bad. Tried all kinds of products and this one worked!”
Time to turn back the clock.
“I’m so happy with the results of this,” shared one happy shopper. “The commercial is true. It really works. My skin has never looked this good. I look ten years younger than my 70 years.”
