Education leaders welcome DeWine’s school safety plan, say more can be done

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – Gov. Mike DeWine declared his system to maintain Ohio faculties harmless Friday. Education leaders welcome the initiative and reported more work wants to be accomplished to secure college students and staff.

Superintendent of Fairborn City Faculties Gene Lolli explained the district is generally looking to enhance protection.

“I think in our working day and age, it is critical that we have these issues in place,” Lolli said.

Not only is the district updating the training they give to teachers and personnel, the district is introducing a new position. The Board of Instruction is set to approve the generation of a supervisor of safety and safety purpose at its June 2 meeting.
