The first thing that you should get is an ergonomic keyboard. Most keyboards you are going to find are straight across and are based on the old typewriter design. An ergonomic keyboard is slightly angled and is raised. It looks like they broke up the keyboard into two different parts. They reason that they did this, is because they found it be more ergonomically better for you hands. This will lead to less stress on your hands and wrists. It does take a few days to get used to it but once you do you will never go back.
The next items that you should invest in are scanners and digital cameras. The great thing about digital cameras is that they are falling in price now that they are becoming more popular as the technology ages. You don’t have to worry about printing out your pictures you can view them all on your computer and share them with friends and family.
However, if you do want to print them out then you can take them to drug stores. Drugs stores have the capabilities to print off pictures form digital cameras now. The other option would be to get photo quality paper and print them off yourself using your own printer.
Scanners are basically digital cameras. Only instead of taking pictures of things you want to they are used to copy, scan, and fax pieces of paper. If you have an important document that you need to add to an email, then you can “take” a picture of it, just like you could if you were taking a picture of something with a camera. The scanner then sends it right to your computer. From there you can send it anywhere you want.
The last thing that you will want to get is a portable USB drive. Years ago, they weren’t to effective since they could hardly hold any data. Today is a different issue, you can get some that hold over 4 GB of memory. This is useful if you transfer a lot of files from computer to computer.
